Šehida Miftari

Šehida Miftari is from Prizren, currently living in Prishtinë/Priština. She graduated at Faculty of Financial Management and completed master studies on International Policy and Diplomacy. Šehida is a human rights activist. Her passion is photography, mostly of tradition, and ethno-culture. In 2013 and 2015, she won two performance awards at the international photography competition named Humanity Photo Awards for the photos depicting traditional values of Kosovo, namely traditional face-painting of Kosovo Bosnia community and celebration of spring by Rufai dervishes, both in Prizren. The competition gathers more than 7000 professional and amateur photographers from 158 countries worldwide and it is organized by the China Folklore Photography Association under auspices of UNESCO. Kosovo was represented for the first time in 2013 with her photos. Šehida is an open-minded, flexible, and reliable person. She loves theater, movies, books and travelling. Her motto is „when there is a wile there is a way“.
